Abstract:
Clinicians are often not educated about CPT coding and reimbursement in their educational programs. Many are forced to learn on-the-job and as a result, many clinicians code inappropriately. This results in undercoding and overcoding; both of which can substantially affect collections. As an experienced nurse practitioner and an owner of an NP-owned and operated practice, Dr. Wright teaches coding in a useable and fun manner.

Dr. Coleman is the Program Director at OU Health. As the program director for the family medicine and sports medicine program OU Medical Center, he is in charge of 38 residents and fellows learning family medicine and primary sports medicine.

He is a Professor at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine where he is the Director of both the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship Program and the Family Medicine Residency Program.

Dr. Coleman provides medical care to athletes of all ages from “Weekend Warriors” to high school, university and professional players. Nicholas Sader M.D., MSc, FRCSC, is a pediatric neurosurgeon at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital OU Health, with a focus on with a focus on craniosynostosis, Chiari malformations, and concussion care. Dr. Baber is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and serves as the Director of Interventional Cardiology and the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Prior to joining the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Baber served as the Director of Cath Lab Quality and Outcomes Research within the Cardiovascular Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. During his fellowship training he also earned a Master’s Degree in biostatistics from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University.
