About Tara:

Tara Chavis is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and just completed her PhD dissertation on the challenges in adherence to abnormal pap smears, at the Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing. She initially started her interest in obstetrics as a RN in 1998. In 2005 as a new graduate nurse practitioner, she discovered a love for caring for non-pregnant women and has been practiced primarily in gynecology care since that time.

She practices at OU Health Physicians Women’s Health and provides care to women from adolescence through geriatric years, as well as pregnancy. She considers herself a Women’s Health generalist, however she has a passion for polycystic ovarian syndrome, contraception, long-acting reversible contraception, menstrual disorders and care of women with abnormal pap smears.

About Benny:

Benny Vanatta served as a member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives and specializes in constructing and executing legislative strategic plans. His lobbying experience and knowledge of the inner workings of Oklahoma State Government allow him to navigate AONP legislation through the twists and turns of the legislative and governmental process.

He holds a bachelor of science, in business, and a masters in adult education administration. After a decorated military career, he returned home to Sapulpa and was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives for five continuous terms. In 1989, he left public service to enter the field of governmental relations as a lobbyist.

About Tracy:

Tracy Langley has been a registered nurse for 25 years with 15 of those years spent as a family nurse practitioner. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in 1998 from East Central University, master’s degree in 2006s degree from the University of Oklahoma and her DNP in 2014 from Oklahoma City University. Tracy works for the Chickasaw Nation in the outpatient internal medicine department and urgent care. She also is an adjunct faculty at East Central University. Skin conditions are one of the most common acute and chronic problem encountered in primary care. With a lack of referral resources in rural areas and for those underinsured; being able to accurately biopsy a rash or a skin lesion became instrumental to helping people get proper treatment.

She holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Texas Christian University and earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from the University of Oklahoma. She specializes in Pulmonary Disease and Sleep Medicine.

April has served on both the Oklahoma University College of Nursing faculty and the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.

She is passionate about patient care and working with her patients to help them improve their health. April’s goal is to educate her patients and work with them to establish a treatment plan to improve their quality of sleep and ultimately feel better.

She has a 40 year career at the University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine in Tulsa, specializing as a Diabetes and Internal Medicine provider. Mary is a Professor for Internal Medicine in the College of Medicine, teaches classes for 3^rd & 4^th year medical students, PA students, and Internal Medicine residents. She has an independent Diabetes specialty practice and a primary care Internal Medicine outpatient practice, at the Internal Medicine Schusterman Clinic at OU-Tulsa.

She received her BSN from Texas Christian University, a Master of Public Health from OU-OKC, and a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from OU-Tulsa.

Her 33 year Diabetes Educator certification has influenced her clinical practice and appreciation of educating patients in disease management.

Anemia is one of the most common problems encountered in clinical practice. Making a diagnosis of “anemia” is never sufficient. In addition to her ongoing clinical practice with rheumatology patients, Dr. Chrostowski has presented at local and national conferences on rheumatologic conditions, published articles related to rheumatology conditions and served on multiple national rheumatology committees. Dr. Chrostowski is currently a board member on the American Board of Internal Medicine – Rheumatology Sub-specialty board.

About Dr. Walia:

Dr. Walia, is the medical director of the INTEGRIS Pain Management Clinic and is a board-certified anesthesiologist. Dr. Walia’s fellowship training in pain management had a special focus on minimally invasive interventional procedures for chronic pain conditions, such as headache, back pain and neck pain.

After attending the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Waila completed his residency at OU Medical Center and fellowship at Texas Tech University. A native of Oklahoma, Dr. Walia is excited to be practicing in his hometown. He lives in Edmond with his wife, Bindu, and two children. He enjoys traveling, fishing and spending time with his family.
